JEFF BERNSTEIN

Owner, Managing Partner

Jeff and his wife, Dani, live in midtown Toronto with their children, Fox, Nyah and Raine, as well as their Husky-Shepherd rescue dog, Nash. Insurance planner by day; husband, dad, triathlete, and volunteer by night.

After obtaining his Masters degree in International Affairs, Jeff pursued diverse global opportunities. His experience encompassed collaborating on international human rights cases for a high-profile Canadian senator, guiding a team of engineers to build and ship software, and keeping the streets of East Africa and Southeast Asia safe from fake medicine (for real). Jeff joined the Seligman team in 2014 as an associate advisor.

Outside of his professional practice, Jeff volunteers with and fundraises for organizations that promote social innovation and inclusion of people with differences, in both grassroots and board leadership roles.

As a parent, homeowner and entrepreneur, Jeff understands the wide-ranging priorities his clients are balancing. He sees himself as an educator and guide to his clients and their professional advisors about insurance-based financial planning strategies; he strives to create a consumer experience to make insurance purchasing as simple, straightforward and efficient as possible.

Jeff loves working with founders and business owners, professionals, and their families to provide clarity and direction and to help identify ways in which they can make their money work harder for them.

Peter Seligman has been an Estate and Insurance Advisor since 1982. Armed with extensive knowledge, Peter guides a niche clientele of entrepreneurs, business owners and executives towards preserving their wealth and minimizing the potential effects of life changes by planning for the future. Peter works closely with his clients, forming strong relationships while providing comprehensive, customized personal risk management products and services. Peter always listens closely to what his clients’ wants and needs are and develops unique solutions for them.

A consummate team player, Peter is open to working closely with your preferred professionals, such as lawyers and accountants. And if you don’t already have a lawyer or accountant, Peter will endeavor to recommend you to a best fit professional from his large network of experienced colleagues. Client Services Manager

As a licensed advisor, Fran has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years and offers expertise in executive marketing, client relations, as well as sales and underwriting support. She has been a core contributor to the Seligman team for more than 15 years, playing a key role in the company’s growth and success. Her hands-on approach to customer service and extensive industry knowledge are pivotal to providing clients with the best possible insurance solutions. Fran enjoys an active lifestyle and loves to travel.

Office Manager

A member of the Seligman team since 1998, Deborah is responsible for the smooth operation of our office, through a range of administrative, financial and managerial tasks. She has been integral to the development and implementation of our contact management system. Deborah holds a diploma in business management with a sales and marketing speciality. She is an avid golfer and waterskier.

At Seligman Insurance, we help clients clarify their financial needs and develop insurance-based strategies to achieve their financial goals. We’ve added an easy-to-use needs calculator here to illustrate just some of the life insurance options available based on your situation.

There are two ways to use this calculator: If you have an idea of how much coverage you need, enter this directly into the calculator. If you’re unsure about the amount of coverage you require, answer a few questions in the needs analysis section to estimate your required coverage.

In both cases, a report will be sent to the email address you provide showing illustrative life insurance options offered by different companies. Please note that while the report will give you a sense of what’s available, a solid long-term financial plan needs to be customized based on a comprehensive understanding of your situation and needs.
